This 1200VA UPS is a cost effective, entry level UPS. The unit is ultra light and compact and can be connected to a single 12V lead-acid battery to generate a 220V output with a stepped square wave that will run most equipment (we do not recommend motors are run from these units). The unit has a built in 20 Amp charger, and if left plugged in with a battery connected will switch automatically to inverter power once the mains fails. It does not require input mains to start and can be used as a straight forward inverter.
